Lyman Frank Baum (1856 – 1919) better known in the literary world by his pen name L. Frank Baum, was a brilliant American author chiefly known for his children's books. The world fame was obtained by one of his best works named The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Numerous works of him nowadays are participated as screenplays for cartoons, computer games, and television in whole. “The Cat and the Fiddle” is a short story by Frank Baum that narrates about Little Bobby and his friends: black cat, a tawny little dog and the family's moolie-cow.
