The Sartrean legacy in moral philosophy is under attack. While Jean-Paul Sartre is regarded as a well-accomplished philosopher in other fields, his views about ethics are often rebuked vociferously. This book seeks to interject a different perspective in the debate. I endeavor, passionately of course, to dissect the congruity of Sartre's writings on ethics. I decipher the man, his views, his passions, and his contributions to human literature. I explore his glorious past in the most succinct manner. I outline a simpler framework in order to understand the role Sartre played in linking ontology with morality. I argue that it is necessary to draw a much-needed attention to a side of Sartre (e.g., his views about ethics) that is rarely recounted in positive terms. I argue that it is quintessential to emphasize the intellectual relevance of this great thinker in the ethical discipline.
