Longing for a less stressful life than he has in Chicago, anger-inciting and acclaimed editorial cartoonist, Charles Cavanagh, known to his fans as EDGAR, relocates to remote Jeffersonville. He cannot leave behind his life as a provocateur, though; it catches up with him there and leads to threats, violence and death. His new-found friend art professor Ellie Jensen launches her own crusade to unmask the culprit. Ellie is supported and comforted by her faith and Christian friends, but finally faces a violent confrontation on her own, daring to face the evil she finds.
