Sinopse

Nostromo (full title Nostromo, A Tale of the Seaboard) is a 1904 book by Polish novelist Joseph Conrad, set in the fictitious South American republic of "Costaguana". It was originally published serially in two volumes of T.P.'s Weekly. Conrad set his tale in the mining town of Sulaco, an imaginary port in the occidental region of the imaginary country of Costaguana. The book has more fully developed characters than any other of his novels, but two characters dominate the narrative: Señor Gould and the eponymous anti-hero, the "incorruptible" Nostromo. This edition has been formatted for your reader, with an active table of contents.  It also has been annotated, with additional information about the book and its author, including an overview, background, plot, characters, adaptations, references in other works, biographical and bibliographical information.
