His book Liber Abaci (Book of Calculation) explained the system to western mathematicians. The Fibonacci sequence was named after him as he used it as an example in his writings by explaining the numerical reproduction of rabbits in an ideal situation.In the Fibonacci sequence of numbers, each number is the sum of the previous two numbers:1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144 . . .The Fibonacci number sequence can be found in nature and is the basis of the golden mean. A nautilus shell is a beautiful example of the Fibonacci numbers in a spiral, but it can be found in plants, nebula and more.
