In February 2003, beautiful, blonde, star-truck Kristi Johnson, 21, visited a shopping mall built on the former back lot of 20th Century Fox studio in Century City, California. There she was approached by a stranger who told her he was seeking a model for James Bond promotion. To audition, she should meet him at an adress in the Hollywood hills, wearing a white skirt, black mini-skirt, and black stiletto heels, Weeks later, Kristi's partially-clad body was discovered an a near by slope. No forensic evidence was recovered - no DNA, no prints, no fibers, no hair, nothing to help investigators. Soon other women came foward to report they, too, had been scammed by Victor Paleologus with the same James Bond pitch. Halfway through his July 2006 trial, Paleologus, apparently fearing a possible death sentence, pleaded guilty in exchange for a sentence of 25 years to life.
