Jane Austen nasceu dia 16 de dezembro de 1775, em Hampshire, na
Inglaterra. Filha do reverendo George Austen e de Cassandra Austen,
foi a segunda mulher dentre sete irmãos. Quando completou oito anos,
foi enviada a um internato para receber a educação formal. Seu contato
com os livros vem do acesso à biblioteca da família, permitido após a
